~~CONTEXTID:1242~~ ====== Remote Support Is Now Easier To Find ======
Getting connected with Resaleworld Support now starts right in Liberty Help. The new computer and satellite icon beside the search box makes **Click For Remote Support** easier to spot on a desktop computer. On a phone or smaller screen, choose **Remote Support** from Help Contents instead. ===== Your Technician Provides The PIN ===== When your support technician is ready, they will give you a **nine digit PIN**. Open Remote Support, enter the PIN, and select **Submit**. You no longer need to visit startcontrol.com separately to enter it. The form continues through StartControl to provide the support download. Use the page on the Windows computer that needs assistance, then download and open the support software as directed. Keep the support window open while your technician connects. ===== A Note About Download Warnings ===== Because this download is a remote support utility, you may see a browser or Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning. A reputation warning can appear for software that is not yet a commonly recognized download. If you are working with Resaleworld Support and your technician confirms the expected file, you may select **Keep** or **Keep anyway** to retain the download. If Windows shows **Windows protected your PC** for that same file, choose **More info**, then **Run anyway** if available. If a warning reports malware or the file is not what your technician expects, ask them before proceeding. You do not need to turn off SmartScreen or your antivirus software. The Remote Support page includes the download instructions. ===== Mac Users Can Prepare Ahead Of Time ===== For Mac assistance, your technician will guide you through **Chrome Remote Desktop** instead of the Windows PIN download. If you do not already have **Google Chrome**, try to install it before your support call. Our new Remote Support For Mac guide covers installing Chrome, preparing Chrome Remote Desktop, generating a temporary access code, approving your technician, and ending the session. You can find it directly below Remote Support in Help Contents. ==== Related Topics ==== :support_blog support_blog:remote_support_from_liberty_help :r :remote_support_for_mac :contactingresaleworld
